ABOUT TK DESIGN

Tom Kerr Design is the culmination of a love for New Zealand's native timber and a passion for bringing it together with modern textures and materials. I specialise in bespoke furniture design, kitchen making and the creation of modern pieces that will stand the test of time. Ultimately pieces that are made for modern families with function and design at the fore. 

I am an experienced kitchen maker and can manage the design, build and installation when working with my clients.

My journey began at Canterbury University, where I graduated with a Fine Arts Degree Majoring in Sculpture. I then spent ten years in Auckland, honing my skills on a wide variety of building and design projects, before returning home to Timaru with my family in 2018. Today, I design custom furniture for private homes, and breath new life into beautiful pieces from the past.
